Casting Call For Life

Have you ever felt like your life could be a movie? Think about the title and who would want to watch it.  When there is a casting for a movie the director decides  what kind of people will be the best fit for the film.  He launches a Casting and intersted people show up in an attempt to act their way on the set! The actors are then given a script, they rehearse for the part, then the director tells them that he will call them if they get the part.  After the rehearsal, the director and his crew evaluate the actors and make a decision on who will be the best person for each part.  A decision is made and the cast is created. After months and sometimes a year of hard work, a movie is made.

In life there is a Casting call. This casting will be much different than the castings that we are all familiar with. In this casting there will only be a main character and several extras.As we go through life we will encounter different situations and a lot of different characters.  It's almost like watching reality t.v, it's just not on the big screen.  Through the years we will experience both good and bad things in which they come to shape who we are and sometimes what we will become. As time moves on we find ourselves looking back and wondering where the time went and what were we doing for all of these years that have passed. We find friends and lovers that are amazing! We begin to consume ourselves with  spending our time with them and making them happy. We share our dreams, goals, and even our pain. We look to these people for acceptance and companionship.  Unfortunately, things don't always end up the way that we thought they would. The people that  we were once so happy with are now the people that we feel have hindered us in many ways.  All of the passion that we had for achieving our dreams and the progress toward them are now so distant! Why is this? During our quest for love and happiness we have allowed ourselves to stray away from what matters the most, our future.  Two years later and  we never got around to enrolling in school, starting our own business, saving up to purchase a home, or whatever goals we had set for ourselves back then.  Now we want to press the rewind button or even erase the tape so that we are able to start over again. But that's not possible.

In life we must remember that this is our only part. After this show is over there won't be another Casting for our life or another role available for us.  We have to focus solely on our part while the Extras play their role in the background. There is no script for this role therefore you must be Good to play the part! Remember the Extras are waiting around for the starring role, don't let it be yours!
